Quality management

The CAQ software Babtec Q used by HURST + SCHRÖDER supports our company in quality assurance and the associated quality management of our company processes. This enables us not only to fulfill many of our customers' requirements, but also to monitor them.

Our CAQ software supports the entire end-to-end process. From initial sampling to outgoing goods inspection, all production steps and their results are monitored and documented via tests during series production. In addition to production monitoring, we also use the CAQ system for inspection equipment monitoring, inspection planning and supplier evaluation. A modern task and action management system contributes to the continuous improvement of our processes.

In addition to the usual measuring equipment in use, we also have optical and tactile measuring systems (3D coordinate measuring machine). The use of modern 3D scanners (GOM and Creaform) and automated measuring projectors (Keyence) enable us to measure even complex components.

APQP Advanced Product Quality Planning

HURST + SCHRÖDER has installed the APQP process (Advanced Product Quality Planning) as a complex procedure for the advance quality planning of our customers' products. Our APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning / Control Plan / Product Creation Process) describes the measures we have installed, which we carry out before each production start if required, in order to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products. This procedure is based on the IATF 16949 quality management standard.

The conservation of resources plays a major role in our thoughts and actions. We are firmly convinced that this issue will play an increasingly important role in the future. We are therefore constantly working on improving our energy balance and saving resources.

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) Validation

The relevance of reliably functioning supply chains for the smooth running of production processes has come very much into focus in recent years. We have been building on these reliable supply chains for many years and have been able to strengthen our Group in a targeted manner through acquisitions and takeovers.

We are now able to cover an enormous vertical range of manufacture within the H+S Group.

Fairness and ethics are also deeply rooted in our company philosophy. We have been SMETA-validated since 2023.

A SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is an auditing procedure developed by the organization Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) to check compliance with labour rights, health and safety standards, environmental standards and business ethics in the supply chain.

CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)

The term Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) refers to a voluntary US initiative for supply chain security with regard to terrorism. C-TPAT can be seen as the US equivalent of the European Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).

C-TPAT was initiated in November 2001 by the US customs authority United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Several thousand companies are now participating in the initiative.
