12 million knobs every year, more than 35 years of experience and currently 475 employees - these are the figures for the HURST+SCHRÖDER Group.
Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that: As a mid-size family enterprise we supply knobs, control and display panels, electronic and electrical products and thermosetting molded parts to well-known manufacturers all over the world.
We operate across Europe and worldwide with locations in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey and the USA.
2017
New branch opened in Altena
In order to extend our manufacturing possibilities and purposefully expand our range of services, we have opened a new production facility in Altena / Westphalia, not far from our head office. The highlight of the new branch is a fully automatic printing system for operating elements.
2011
Establishment of the subsidiary company in Turkey
The currently newest member of our group of companies since 2011 is HSTR ELEKTRIK, which is based in Izmir, Turkey and produces knobs among others.
The company will in future also support the eastern expansion of our customer relationships from this location.

Start of out manufacturing facility in Slovakia

The range of services is rounded off by the development and production of electronic modules as well as complete devices.The electronic modules section also includes in particular SMD - both wired and mixed.

Extension of the production area in Werdohl
In the context of a future-oriented corporate strategy, the production area at the main location in Werdohl was significantly enlarged, in addition to which the logistics was optimised through the construction of a modern high-bay warehouse.

Takeover of KSM Kunststofftechnik in Meschede
Through the acquisition of KSM Kunststofftechnik in Meschede in the Hochsauerland we were able to successfully expand our production programme by thermosetting plastic design and precision parts.
1983
Start of production in Hungary
With a view to the future we established a production facility in Pomáz, Hungary as early as the 1980s. Since then this has been the location for our inexpensive large-series manufacturing as well as the flexible small-series production of electrical components.

Establishment of the company
Since then we have been developing and producing components and modules for the household appliances and electrical industries.

Together with DOMOELEKTRO, KSM Kunststofftechnik Meschede, HS ELECTRONIC and HSTR ELEKTRIK, we make up a service group that offers a comprehensive package of technological services. As a successful system supplier and market leader in the “retractable control knob” segment, we supply well known customers in the electrical appliance industry. Around 490 employees in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Turkey manufacture knobs, residual heat indicators, indicator lamps, display elements, electronic products and complex systems. These are used all over the world. For example, our warehouse logistics in the USA ensures on time deliveries on the American continent.
